Founded since 2002, Laboratory of Advanced Materials has mainly concentrated on researching
and synthesizing thin-film materials (from several of nanometers to hundreds of micrometers)
which have exceeding properties compared with conventional bulk materials. For example, we
could obtain thin films with high transmittance in the visible range and high conductivity,
simultaneously. These films have widely applied in solar cell thin films, light emitting diodes
(LEDs), organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), touchscreen, flat panel displays (FPDs), gas
sensors, resistive random-access memories (RRAM or ReRAM), etc. Nowadays, it is not denied
that thin-film nanotechnology plays an essential role in many fields of modern human life.
Consequently, the most important goal of our laboratory is discovery of new thin-film materials
and improvement of available materials, which contributes to the development of sciences and
technology in Vietnam and in the world.
