On the morning of July 16, 2024, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) held a ceremony to announce and present the decisions of the Prime Minister regarding organization and personnel.<\/p>\n
At the event, Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Minister of Science and Technology, handed over the Prime Minister’s decision to appoint Associate Professor Dr. Tran Cao Vinh and Professor Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai as Vice Presidents of VNU-HCM. These decisions were signed by the Prime Minister in June 2024, with a term of 5 years.<\/p>\n
Before being appointed, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Cao Vinh served as Chairman of the University Council at the University of Science (VNU-HCM).<\/p>\n
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Cao Vinh was born in 1972 in Tr\u00e0 Vinh. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Science (formerly the University of General Education) in 1994. He was then retained by the university as a teaching assistant in the Physics Department. In 1998, he officially began teaching at the university.<\/p>\n
Since April 2007, he has been appointed Head of theLaboratory of Advanced Materials . He earned his PhD in Physics in 2009 and was recognized as an Associate Professor in January 2017. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics – Engineering Physics.<\/p>\n
Additionally, he has over 17 years of experience in the Executive Committee of the Trade Union at the University of Science, serving in various roles. He has also held multiple management positions at the university, such as Head of the Political Affairs Department, later the Student Affairs Department, and Head of the Training Department.<\/p>\n
From July 2018 to October 2020, he was appointed Vice Rector, and since October 2020, he has been serving as Chairman of the University Council.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
