After attending the 5th International Symposium on Advanced Magnetic Materials and Applications (ISAMMA 2024), several distinguished professors from renowned universities visited the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. AM-Lab was honored to welcome professors following the recommendation of Prof. Phan Bach Thang (VNUHCM-Inomar).
1. Professor Michitaka Ohtaki – Kyushu University of Fukuoka
Professor Ohtaki is a distinguished scholar in materials science, specializing in thermoelectric energy conversion materials, photonic energy materials, and nanostructures. He is currently focused on developing environmentally friendly oxide thermoelectric materials and designing the electronic states of oxide semiconductors.

2. Assistant Professor Ady Suwardi – Chinese University of Hong Kong
Ady Suwardi’s research cuts across fundamental materials, electronic, and thermal properties of sustainable energy materials, with specific focus on thermoelectric materials and devices. He currently serves as early career editorial board in Materials Today Energy and Youth editorial board in Soft Science and The Innovation Materials.

Assistant Professor Ady Suwardi had some discussions with Assoc. Prof. Pham Kim Ngoc (Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, University of Science) and MSc. student Phan Thi Thuy Trang.

3. Professor Chih-Huang Lai, Professor Nyan-Hwa Tai and Professor Chang-Mou Yang – National Tsing Hua University
Chih-Huang Lai is a Chair Professor at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) and the Vice President of the Semiconductor College. His expertise lies in Spintronic Devices, MRAM, CIGS Solar Cells, Functional Thin Films, and Nanostructures.

4. Professor Nyan-Hwa Tai, also a Chair Professor at NTHU, serves as the Provost and Senior Vice President. His research focuses on the Synthesis and Applications of Graphene and Carbon Nanotubes, Biosensors, Thin Films for Industrial Wastewater Reduction, Electromagnetic Interference Shielding, and Supercapacitors.


5. Professor Chang-Mou Yang specializes in Nano-Scale Polymer Mechanical and Physical Properties, Polymer Thin Films, Surface and Interface Science, Physics and Materials of Laser Printing, Polymer Nanocomposite Materials, Photoluminescent Polymers and Molecular Mechanics, MEMS, Inkjet Printing Technology, Plasma Polymerization, Frictional Electrification, and the Physics and Material Applications of Laser Printing Techniques.
